    1. Transplanted about eight of the bulbs from a clump out by the barn about three years ago. They all had leaves in the spring. This is the first one to send up the flower stalk this season.

  1. I was telling my daughter about this post and my comment. She mentioned the other flower – Black Eyed Susan. And then I remember I found some bulbs at wally world a couple months ago from the lily family – Forever Susan. So, if we can get someone to cross pollenate a Forever Susan and a Naked Lady we just my get a spectacular flower or we might get something out of a freak show. Either way, I would buy them – lol. Ooh,, if they could mix that with the fringed tulip….

    1. I don’t know if you are familiar with those. In the spring they put up leaves, like a big clump of wide-bladed grass, then the leaves die. Later, the bulb shoots up a bare stalk with the flowers.
